As for the 3-4 year old (E60) 535 - much more problematic overall, and many teething issues that will only get worse over time. N/A 525i, 5-speed, 138+K. As such, the E39 was the first 5 Series to boast front suspension that was, for the most part, made from aluminium parts. Though it wasn’t limited to the front, as the other chassis components further back were also largely changed to aluminium. The E39 was also the subject of vastly improved driver dynamics.
