Basically it's supposed to mimic the spawns and rules of Left 4 Dead, so it removes Chargers, Jockeys, Spitters, bile jars and melee weapons. I'm not sure, but it's remotely possible the mutation will remove Uncommons as well. I don't know if spawn rates and behaviors are at all modified. Well that doesn't seem fun.
Players will improve with experience and expertise in the various situations. Overall, L4D2 is still a superb coop shooter experience that hasn't been replicated to the same degree of polish. It's a challenging romp that requires a lot of planning but also quick reactions.
