It's for better Auto resolve results only and there is no proper way to level it. Auto resolving doesn't level it faster, which is insane. Scouting perks don't work, the scouting bonuses don't make you move on the map faster. Cunning is garbage sadly. Companions are stats are always wrong. Doctors with 1 int for example. Damn near impossible to Party leader by default takes on all unassigned roles (Unless something changed in 1.6.2) Yea, but you could always assign yourself a role. You’ll still take on all other unassigned roles, however, you’ll be able to utilize skills that require you to be a quartermaster or surgeon for example. Not the experience part. EMVMm8.
