14mm Deep Well Magnetic Spark Plug Socket - 3/8" Drive. Specially designed thin wall narrow socket with internal magnet - crucial for spark plug removal on N54, N55, S55, S63, N20, B46/8, B58 engines, as well as select Gen 2 and Gen 3 MINI. Brand: ES#: 2561145. Mfg#: 001247SCH01A.The Spark Plug Wrench should grip the plug when you are done screwing it loose. Just lift the wrench up and the plug will come out with the wrench. Inspect the old plug, clean the hole* if it is dusty or oily and replace with the new plug and spark plug wire set cap for that hole before moving onto the next hole. S55 plugs are usually not used and mostly everyone swaps to the NGK plugs. S55 plugs had cracking issues a few years back, but not sure if they still do. That being said, throwing in some colder plugs and gapping around 0.022" for Stage 2 is where you want to be. It's good preventive maintenance as well. As for changing them out on Stage 2
Same thing happened to me today, just bought this 2007 335i last week and decided to get an oil change today just in case. My vehicle has 43k miles and they told me that it is due for a spark plug change. They priced it at 339.32: 143.46 for spark plugs, 11.96 for shop supplies, 170.80 for labor and 13.10 for tax.
